Leave Dust

I kicked leaves as I walked to
    St. John's church last night . . .
I needed a few moments of quiet reflection,
A brief pause on a pleasant Fall evening.

Leaves are mushy after a gentle Fall rain.

Each step brought me closer to private moments
    with my God.
Precious moments filled with
"Be still and know that I am God."

And on other days with each step leaving more than a view
    of the sidewalk, I . . .
                    "leave dust"

"Dust Collector"

Quiet moments, stolen in the midst of hectic days,
leave the important parts of people refreshed.

"Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation
of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight,
O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer."
                                Psalm 19 KJV

"You have let me experience the joys of life
      and the exquisite pleasure
      of your own eternal presence."
                                Psalm 16 Living Bible
