Apartment Dust
is just a list of Dusts: Stereo-dust . . . window dust . . . dust keeping vases . . . dust-under-bed . . . air conditioner dust . . . dust on books . . . book case dust . . . dust behind door in corner . . . dust in rug . . dust in curtains . . . dust on venetian blinds (worse of all to get rid of) . . . phone dust — that's embarrassing, you know you don't have any friends . . . dust on pictures . . . dust on mirrors . . .

Many years later a teacher friend brought her computer to our school lab for a check-up. The fan had drawn in “tons” of “Caliche Dust” making her green, blue, red, silver, black components look like a freshly painted white picket fence.
Which reminds me of the accountant who in the pre-PC days (a CPM machine) discovered that his computer failed to work after an inside cleaning of dust on April 14th . . .
I suppose sometimes it is good to leave dust alone.
