Monitor: changing display resolution

Using Windows 95 and above only:

QUICK RESolution changer: down load from www.Microsoft.com the powertoys. file. After you install this make a shortcut of quickres to your start directory. To change you monitors resolution all you need to do is click the monitor on the Task Bar, select the desired resolution, and W95 with Powertoys does the rest.

REMEMBER this is a program which is not supported by Microsoft. I use it constantly on my computer to change resolutions and have never had any problems on my computer. NOTE WELL: I have seen QuickRes distort one computer screen which made it totally unreadable. I solved the problem by utilizing a second computer to change the Screen Settings. I believe that the problem with this one computer had to do with an incompatibility between the monitor and the video card in the Control Panel settings.

Move between web pages

• Use your browser's forward and reverse key
• Use the keyboards backspace
  • Backspace to go back on screen
  • Shift+Backspace to move forward
    • NOTE: the shift reverses many actions in formatting as well as navigation.

Copying non-copyrighted information

• Find the information
• Select a portion with mouse or CTRL-A for all
• Alt-Tab to your word processor or where every you want the information
• Paste it
• If the text does not line up properly, change the font to Courier.
