NT Overview
Week 06
NT - Summary Of The Life Of Christ (2)
Last week we covered the early part of the Life of Christ. Your outline of the Life of Christ should be complete with this week's study.
You have several readings this week from the DSM text. Please read all the Teacher's Notes and Discussion Questions. You do not have to answer the DQs but please stop long enough to think about your answer. Knowing facts is one essential, vital aspect of learning. If a student is able to summarize, organize, and select information to respond to a question, Klned is reinforced and the information is more in the possession of the learner.
Please, study miracles closely. You will have a some questions about miracles in your Weekly Assignment.
Note that the two lectures : Miracle (0700) and Strong's Numbers (0705) are not complete. Glean what you can out of them. The word study Strong's Numbers (0705) (a long/complex document) should help you sort out what the Bible says about miracles from Cultural Coloring of miracles.
SPECIAL NOTES FOR THIS WEEK:
As you read the DSM Text you will find a very large number of Bible references. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO READ ALL OF THE REFERENCES. However, it would be good to read some of the references.
STRONG'S NUMBERS - Many years ago Mr. Strong,
compiled this reference material, Strong's Concordance. Every word in the New and
Old Testaments was assigned a number.
The student can study/compare words and verses in the Bible with these numbers.
You will also find a Young's Analytical Concordance. I suppose Strong will remain the most
popular, since it has been used in many Bible study programs.
In our lesson this week you have a compilation of the Strong numbers which have some
connection to miracles.
Example: Number 4592 is the number assigned to the word which is translated in the KJV as sign 50 times, miracle 23 times, wonder
3 times, and token once.
This week I ask if you have read all the assigned material. Your answer will determine a portion of your grade for this week.
