Navigating 3 Panel Screen [9601]

If you do not understand focus, the screens will frustrate you.

 

WHAT IS...

 

the property of the of 3 Panel Screen which tells the computer which panel you want to manipulate. The one you want to do something with such as:

Scroll

select, copy, or paste

refresh

go back one screen

 

SETTING THE FOCUS...

• Clicking on the panel with the mouse pointer
• Sometimes two clicks are necessary
• DO NOT click on a hyperlink or you will execute the hyperlink

WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH A PANEL IN FOCUS

 

Move up and down with

• arrow keys,
• home-end,
• page-up/page down

Refresh the panel in focus with the

• F5 key,
• refresh on your tool bar will (generally)
  • Refresh any panel in focus or if focus is not set
  • Refresh the whole 3 Panel Screen
