PANORAMIC VIEW:
Much debate has centered on the "origin of evil" and the consequences of that evil. The FALL means that what was in the created order of things was no longer the same.
Adam and Eve sinned and were case out of the Garden and thus protected from the Tree of Live.
Your instructor does not believe God forced Adam and Eve to sin. Nor that it was "inevitable" as logically deduced in Lapsarianism.
The consequences of the fall for man and creation have been hotly debated.
THE POINT is that God created and "it was good." What was good was damaged to some degree, which take us to the Christ Event.
Since there is more debate on the Fall that we can cover in this course, you will need to read several systematic theology books on the subject.
