The "Wilderness Wandering" of the generation which left Egypt tells a story of self-confidence and unfaithfulness. After two years at Mount Sinai and the completion of the Tabernacle the people move north under the Pillars of Fire and Cloud the 12th day of the 2nd year after leaving Egypt. They were in wilderness for 40 years: 2 and Sinai and 38 in desert waiting for generation to die.
