PANORAMIC VIEW:

God had instructed the descendants of Noah to scatter. HOWEVER, they did not do as instructed. they gather in one place, plain of Babylon, and began to construct a tower in order to make a name for themselves.

God was was displeased and scattered them by confusing their language into many languages. Peleg was the one in the genealogy of Christ who lived during the division of languages. (Genesis 10:25)

The instructor finds an interesting parallel with Acts 2 where the "mixture" of languages and dialects did not prevent the message at Pentecost. Everyone heard and understood. In fact, one word use to describe their languages was dialect "yous guys" and "yall."
