Reunion
To all BRASIL MISSIONARIES AND
MK’S that served there, short or long term.
The 2008 reunion is truly going to be a fantastic time together.
It’s not too far off and we hope you will be a part of your
extended family reunion. The plan is to have 500+ in attendance.
There were 450 in Dallas in 2001. YOU NEED TO BE COUNTED IN 2008.
WHEN: Friday, August 29th, 3PM, through Monday, Sept 1st. (Many
are only staying two nights, Friday and Saturday. There are no
formal activities planned on Monday)
WHERE: Dallas Fort Worth Area
LOCATION: HILTON DFW LAKES / AUSTIN RANCH (across the street from
Embassy Suites, next to the Grapevine Mall, -negotiations with
Embassy did not work, so we found a better place, a resort hotel
with more amenities)

AMENITIES:
· Free ground transportation to and from DFW airport (3 miles
away)
· 14,000 sq foot Hall for us to use throughout the 3 days
· 6 Tennis courts (bring your own rackets)
· 2 indoor tennis courts
· 1 large indoor pool and 1 large outdoor pool
· 2 racquetball courts (bring your own rackets)
· Ping pong table
· Private 10 acre lake for fishing, Jogging trails surrounding the
lake
· Sand volleyball
· Softball
· Half court basketball
· Austin Ranch next door with horse back riding ($30ea/30 min)
· Sports Club exercise room for guests in hotel
· Massage therapy (for a price)
· 395 rooms featuring plush “Beds by Hilton”
· Wireless internet connection
· Starbucks coffee (for a price)
· Grapevine Mills Outlet Mall across the street via free shuttle
· Bass Pro Shop across the street via free shuttle
PRICE: Hilton DFW Lakes Hotel is $109 plus tax, per room, per
night for 2 double beds or 1 king, and ask for a role away bed if
needed. Full hot breakfast for 2 is included in this price, per
night. Additional breakfast coupons can be purchased for $10 each
at check in. Normal price for this breakfast is $18 per person,
not included in any room night stay.
(Normal room cost for this Hilton resort is $265 per night for the
business community, on a weekday)
CHILD CARE: Options we are seeking
1) paid team from local church for specific time tables or 2)
volunteer team from local church , or 3) MK’s teenagers to
volunteer or be paid for care and fun time. (for ages 1-12)
Additional Costs: We will need to collect a onetime, up-front fee,
for several items:
· Use of Grand Hall room for the weekend (14,000 sq ft)
· Saturday night Dinner
· Audiovisual equipment rental
· Decorations
· Name tags
· Child-care (1-12yrs)
· Printing, etc.
(The proposed amount of a one-time fee is $55 per adult and $15
per child age 5-12, (ages 1-4 is free) to cover the additional
costs above for the 2 days. If we get 500 in attendance this will
cover it. Locals in DFW area will pay this same fee, even if they
only attend the Saturday night dinner. Come stay at the hotel with
us and enjoy)

(Sugar Loaf) The Passeios link shows beautiful pictures which
come up rapidly couple), but the Photorama loads slowly, so does the
music. When the photorama loads, you can view Sugar Loaf
mountain and other spots. You get a 360 degree tour of the
areas. With my 233mhz processor and only a 28.8kbps connection
(56k modem but country phone lines) a photorama takes about 3 or 4
minutes to load. I noticed that it loads best with the music
turned off.
