soap pieces &#8230; empty bottles<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; dull razor blades &#8230; clean towels &#8230;<br \/>\n\tThere is just something special about a shower &hellip; a long shower.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Some mornings the &quot;old shower monster&quot;<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; grabs my ankle and<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; holds me there for the longest time.<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Quickly retreating down the drain<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;the moment the cold water arrives.<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;<em>&nbsp; &nbsp;(Some call this &quot;prune time.&quot;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">No warm water and no &ldquo;shower monster&rdquo; I off to the day&#39;s adventures.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Great ideas can be discovered<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;in the solitude of the shower.<br \/>\n\tNew insights to major problems are &quot;seen&quot; in the<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; relaxed &quot;steamy&quot; atmosphere of the shower.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">God can use your shower time to inform you of his will.<br \/>\n\tGod can use your moments in the shower to call you into service.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">God can speak with you and inform you of his will in<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp; mundane experiences in life &#8230;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">The Bible is filled with example after example of<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp; God calling in the everyday &#39;s of life.<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Shepherding<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Fishing<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Sleeping<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">David and Moses were both called to serve God<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp; in special ways while watching sheep.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>No need to fear a boring and mundane occupation.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Joseph was enslaved while running an errand for his&nbsp;father Jacob.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Never be surprised, if God calls you to &quot;special&quot; service<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp; in rather mundane-everyday situations.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">After you find your place of service,<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; the bands may not play for you.<br \/>\n\t&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;No need to ask, &ldquo;Where is big send-off ceremonies?&rdquo;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">When on the field of service<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; you may find yourself praying for help living with the bugs or frogs.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">When on the field of service<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; you may live years before &quot;observable&quot; results are seen.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Often, the dark moments may penetrate your soul.&nbsp; BUT,<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp; know that the God who called you and<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp; encouraged you&nbsp;in the mundane experiences of life<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp; will sustain you&nbsp;while you experience mundane and not so exciting<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp; moments in His &quot;special&quot; service.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Oh, by the way this was written in 1984 and twenty-seven years later<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The Lord has not returned.<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;We are still having four seasons.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">God has His time table. We need to remember Acts 1 and I paraphrase:<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; The disciples ask &ldquo;Jesus, when are you returning?&rdquo;<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Jesus replies that the time table is in the Father&rsquo;s hands.<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; Then, Jesus makes a simple statement in Acts 1:8<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Be busy cultivating, planting, waiting, and harvesting &hellip;<br \/>\n\t&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; and being a part of the &ldquo;Diaspora . . .<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SHOWER DUST&copy; Ray Waugh 4:00 pm&nbsp;August 03, 1984 Grease on tub &#8230; soap pieces &#8230; empty bottles &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; dull razor blades &#8230; clean towels &#8230; There is just something special about a shower &hellip; a long shower.
